Ask Abby

It's a new year, and as such I thought I'd try something new on DIY Design.  I'm going to be running a new segment from time to time called Ask Abby where you can ask me design questions, or send me pictures and descriptions of your design dilemmas and I'll see what kind of solution I can come up with for you - for free!

SEND ME YOUR WORST . . .
. . . AND I'LL GIVE YOU MY BEST!

If you're interested in participating, send me an email (metzinteriors@gmail.com) telling me about your problematic space or design conundrum.  Don't forget to include photos if applicable!  If your space is selected for an Ask Abby segment, I will contact you by email.  Photos and renderings illustrating design solutions will be posted on DIY Design.  Any personal information (name, contact information, location of residence, etc) will be kept confidential and will not be posted on DIY Design.

I look forward to seeing what kind of challenges you can throw at me!

  1. What a cool idea! I have a HUGE ledge in my living room (5 feet tall, 11 feet long, 7 feet wide)! I have no earthly idea what to do with it. I'll try and snap a picture because I need all the help I can get figuring it out.

Side note: my Grandparents had that sofa and chair set. It's as ugly as it ever was but man, looking at that photo is nostalgic for me!

  3. Oh, I can see where I will be spending much of my "online" time. I am a huge fan of Pinterest, where I found your blog, and a DIY fan, I'm redoing a farmhouse were living in and stuck on a few things. I will be emailing you for some much needed advice. Oh, and btw, what the heck are you doing with my old living room furniture? :) Thanks from a grateful NY'er

  5. Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the images on this blog loading? I'm trying to find out if its a problem on my end or if it's the blog. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
